While you are typing, first you should do a half tap. That means you touch your finger to the screen but you don�t lift it up. Now after you have done that, move your finger around till you find the right key you wanted to hit. You can know this very easily, as the key you are about to type is enlarged. Once you know you are on the correct key, lift your finger. The required key is typed.

You may think that this is a time consuming task, but this saves a lot of time if you are prone to hit the wrong keys at times. This is definitely better than having to hit the �backspace� button isn�t it?

When it comes to sliding and half tap you could use the same trick to type punctuation marks very easily. Just half tap and slide over the punctuation list (�.?123�) and wait for the punctuation keyboard to open up. Once this opens up continue the half tap over to the key you want and then release. You type the punctuation mark you need and you are back to the normal alphabetic keyboard. People who start using this get into the habit of doing only this as it makes everything so easy!
